Dr. Kang’s research focuses on advancing sustainable education and educational research methods through four key areas: promoting equity in education, particularly in STEM career aspirations and group work participation; enhancing environmental education with an emphasis on climate action competencies; conducting secondary analyses of large-scale data to inform educational policy and practice; and applying voice data analysis using social network analysis, automatic speech recognition, and machine learning. His work aims to bridge research and practice to foster equity, engagement, and sustainability in education.
