My expertise is related to both language and translation research. The theoretical focus of my research is in cognitively oriented research on the one hand and in the methodology of language research on the other. My research topics right now are the cognitive processes of translation in the work of a translator and the growing share of translation technology in working life. My teaching focuses on research methods, especially quantitative methods, digital materials and experimental methods in language research, but also translation technology. Developing higher education in humanities, particularly the working life collaboration and approach in it, is an important part of the duties of deputy head in the School.
