This project examines the attractiveness of teacher education and the teaching profession, as well as the factors that influence students’ entry into and retention within the field. Using a longitudinal research design, the project investigates students’ experiences of the appeal of their studies and their personal well-being, their perceptions of their own self-efficacy and the teaching profession, and their reasons for pursuing careers in teaching and educational guidance.
